letters to santa
We just received word from Santa Claus that he would like to receive pretty letters from children in Milwaukee! We'll be providing stationery and postage for your darling tot (or yourself) to write Santa about their wishes and desires. Bring your family to Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward tonight for the 24th annual Christmas in the Ward and start out at Broadway Paper and write a letter to Santa!
If you're unable to come down tonight for the Historic Third Ward festivities, be sure to stop in to Broadway Paper to write your letter prior to December 9th. We'll be sending all letters to the North Pole so that Santa Claus will have plenty of time to write his response.

fantasy house :: 2012
This year we helped decorate the American Cancer Society 2012 Christmas Fantasy House. This is our third year participating and the twentieth anniversary of the Christmas Fantasy House. You can view our beautiful decorated candy fantasy library from our first year here and here you can view our gorgeous outdoor lodge library from our second year.
Every year it is very important for us to make our decorations by hand, display our own merchandise, and decorate with found/re-claimed or USA made items. This year we decided to decorate the entire room with handmade decorations. In total, we used 52 recycled boxes (all from holiday shipments), 48 rolls of wrapping paper, recycled wrapping paper tubes, countless glue gun sticks and double sided tape. We used Waste Not Paper roll wrap in blossom, chartreuse, fuchsia, paper bag, sage, and strawberry.
Over the past twenty years, the American Cancer Society 2012 Christmas Fantasy House has raised more than $2 million dollars and has raised cancer awareness across the metro Milwaukee area. We are so proud to be connected with such an amazing, local organization. If you missed this year's Fantasy House, don't worry, the handmade paper tree and all of our other paper decorations are now on view right here at Broadway Paper! To view more photos of our room, please visit our Facebook album.

gallery night :: georgia lloyd
Tonight is Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward's Gallery Night
and we are happy to be exhibiting photography by Milwaukee's very own Georgia
Lloyd!
Lloyd is a digitally based photographer living in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, she came to this city to
attend the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, which she graduated from in
2011 with a BFA in Photography.
The exhibit will show works of art from two different bodies
of work. The first series shown, “Beaching,” focuses on tension within
narrative and stagnancy despite transitory environments. The second series,
“Freaks and Geeks,” is centered on the allure of artificiality. Please join us
tonight from 5pm until 9pm and tomorrow, Saturday from 10am until 5pm.

happy fallidays!
We are loving this crisp entrance into October. The colors
are reaching their peak here in Milwaukee and are absolutely inspiring. Just in
time for the autumn change-over, we've set up a brilliant display of “Falliday”
and Halloween themed counter cards, cocktail napkins, and party invitations from
fabulous companies such as Hello Lucky, Mr. Boddington’s Studio, Dee & Lala
and The Found all of which you can find here and here on our webstore. They’re fun, festive and a little freaky, so visit us in
the shop and pick some up for your next All Hollow’s Eve fete.
Though we adore this time of year, we’re already thinking ahead…Custom holiday card promotions are available now! Stop in to check out new designs from Kramer Drive and Designers Fine Press, as well as classic favorites such as Crane & Co. and William Arthur. You can find all of our custom holiday card promotions here. Enjoy!
We wish you all a pleasant, autumn week!

introducing a new blog series!
-->
Good Morning Readers!
We here at Broadway Paper are excited
announce a new schedule for our blog, one that is sure to inspire and inform.
Every week, beginning October 1st,
you'll find a new post brimming with the latest updates on store events,
our newest products, featured designers, creative craft how-to's, and weekly
Historic Third Ward happenings. We also invite you to follow us on Facebook and
Pinterest for daily updates and inspiring ideas for all of your paper projects,
as well as photos of our own creations.
Another new and exciting feature of the Broadway Paper website
is our Staff Profile Page. Here you'll find everything you ever wanted to know about
our creative crew, including our top product picks!
This is also where you'll be introduced to me, Mollie, bwp's
new in-house Blogger. Although I'm a Milwaukee native and UW-M Alumni, I've
spent the last few years living in New York City. During my time in the Big
Apple, my writing and editing work appeared in various publications, including Martha
Stewart Living, Cosmopolitan, Allure, Chicago Magazine and Gotham.
I'm back in Milwaukee now, and although I continue to freelance, I've given
my writing new purpose. I'm inspired daily by the beautiful products Broadway
Paper offers its customers, and am thrilled to be apart of Milwaukee's vibrant
small business scene. So check back often, read our posts, leave comments,
offer suggestions...I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!
From Kate, Mollie and the rest of the team, thank you for
your readership and patronage. We hope to see you in the shop soon!

new! farewell paperie
Welcome Fare·well Paperie to Broadway Paper! These lovely letterpress cards are a treat for everyone with great sayings for all ages. The Wisconsin postcard was an added bonus to add this card line to our store.
This line started with two advertising creatives who spent more time talking about stationery then anything else. They use extra thick Crane Lettra paper for their letterpress cards. Sending anyone of these cards will guarantee a smile.
All of the cards from Farewell Paperie are available on our webstore.
