circle street

I first came across Circle Street at the Renegade Craft Fair last month. It was love at first sight! Their booth was so perfect for their style of stationery. And, their cards are just beautiful... I couldn't resist.

So, a few weeks after The Renegade Fair, Circle Street stopped by Broadway Paper and I got to have an exclusive buying session! It was too fun! A week later I got a box in the mail- and it was full of beautiful cards, not cereal! It felt like an early Christmas gift (but for the store!).

Lindy sews and types all of her cards by hand... with her green sewing machine and vintage corona typewriter. She offers a ton of different paper colors, stitches, and thread patterns. And the best part of her work- she makes everything in Appleton, Wisconsin. How amazing! It's such a great feeling knowing these cards are made by hand and right here in our own state!

Circle Street single cards and boxed sets are available in the store as well as in our webstore. They are on our new arrivals page and look just beautiful! They've been going quickly in the store... so you better get them while you can!

bwp is holiday part II

Most of our holiday product is officially up on the webstore! It feels great to see everything that I've been ordering over the past four months in one place. I think we have a great selection! Beautiful holiday wrap... stationery.. candles.. magnets. The list goes on and on!

We're still working on getting everything up on the web. This is a very lengthy process! Very soon we'll have everything that is available in the store, available on the webstore. Make sure to keep checking back to see new holiday items!

bwp is holiday!

The smell of evergreen and the look of red and green is all around at Broadway Paper. We have began putting out our holiday merchandise over the weekend and we're still at it! The store has totally transformed. It looks so beautiful! But, I keep wondering if this ever ends?!?! There's always more!

Once Christmas is actually here, I'm worried I won't be too excited for it anymore. Sounds like I better do my Christmas shopping now or else I won't be the best gift giver! Good thing I can buy my gifts here... I'm hoping my family loves Broadway Paper as much as I do since this is where I am doing my shopping!

gallery night reminder

As I mentioned earlier in the week, eleven art teachers from the Oak Creek School District will be here exhibiting their artwork tomorrow night at Gallery Night. I've been receiving tons of e-mails from former teachers of mine that are planning on coming down. This will be a walk down memory lane!

A first grade teacher from Oak Creek and also a family friend, Aimee Griswold, wrote me and said, "I’ve always been curious about the type of art work that our teachers create. And of course, it will be great to see you again."

I am so happy to host such an event that benefits not only my store, but also the community. Oak Creek has been very supportive and helpful in promoting this event.

The Oak Creek Alumni Association contacted me and posted the event on their site. They also interviewed me and posted the interview on their website.

In addtion to the art, there will be fresh flowers from Urban Sense and cupcakes from Delicately Delicious. Great scents.. great eats.. and great art!

Gallery Night

beautiful photos of bwp!

I first came across Jennica's work while spotting her photographs on another blog. I investigated a little bit and found out that she is based right out of Sheboygan and a few months ago she took some really beautiful photographs of my store and I've been meaning to post them!

You can see more photos of the store here. Jennica will be here this Saturday for our final bridal seminar of the year. I am hoping she will take more photos of the store too! I'm so greedy! As you can see, she does beautiful work and I would recommend her to anyone. Thanks for the beautiful photos and keep them coming, Jennica!

gallery night 10.16

Gallery Night is a week away and I'm so proud to announce our plans for the night! I grew up in Oak Creek (a suburb of Milwaukee) and attended the Oak Creek school district from kindergarten to twelfth grade. My mom has been employed by them for over twenty years.

The school district has been very helpful and supportive of my family and I throughout the years... so I have invited their art department into my store for Gallery Night. Eleven art teachers from the Oak Creek school district will be here exhibiting their art: Wendy Bagatta, Diane Balsley, Carrie Collins, Meagan Hahn, Paula Kalke, Dan Kreif, Anthony Lauer, Emily Luck, Nicole Ulander, Sabrina Weiland, and Karen Wyderka.
Karen Wyderka was my art teacher in 5th grade... Paula Kalke was my art teacher from grades 6th to 8th...and Wendy Bagatta hosted a jewelry making birthday party for me in middle school. I have met many of the other artists over the years as well.. and some I'll be meeting the first time on Gallery Night. Quite the crew!

Gallery Night is Friday, October 16th, from 5 - 9. Please join us!

holidays are approaching!

If you've been wondering where I've been lately... I've been here- under all of our holiday boxes. We have more boxes back here than I've ever seen before. It is getting very cozy.

I've been busy day and night printing up labels for all of the merchandise. I used to work at Broadway Paper as the receiving girl.. and I thought those days were over with once I bought the store- but I thought wrong!

And to make matters worse, I have figured out how to log in to the store remotely so I can create and print labels from the comfort of my own couch! And at all hours of the night! And in my pajamas!
This is my life! But it is the life I wanted... so I love it!
More to come once I find a home for all of these boxes!
